| Video Discription | 5 Long Jump Take-off drills Video Time-line 0.00: Intro 0.06min: Drill 1 Step-swing Drill Performed at beyond walking pace. Drive the hip to drive the drill This drill teaches you the importance of the hip swing. Make sure you drive the hip forwards and up. 0.20min: Drill 2 Step-swing Drill V2 Faster Pace This also has more emphasis on the foot contact. 0.50min: Drill 3 Alternate Hip Swing Again it’s all about driving the free-leg forwards and up, but in this case both. Work the foot into each contact too. 0.50min: Drill 4 Free leg Landing Drill I use this drill a lot. Swing the hip, take-off, hold, land, take a step and repeat.
