Originally made in 2021, re-edited and reuploaded now in 2024 because I still love this lore and want to share it. I remember freaking out when I realized it was Dagon and he talked about Lemuria and the star spawn and it was just very cool. I love how Howard and Lovecraft's lore intersected so much. Sorry for any lag, my old pc hated Conan lol. Dialogue Transcript: Sunken City Dagon Dialogue Today is the day that the prophecy comes to its inevitable conclusion. A Redeemer comes to destroy the aging remnants of a dying people. You come to free me, Redeemer. They called out in the name of my father, though he had not spoken to them since the world shifted. When the world shook again, their dreams were drowned. Behold, glorious, is it not? I gave them dreams of R’yleh and guided the hands of their masons as they worked. It is a fitting tribute. Their Bloodlines are of old Lemuria-those who fled west are their kin. But these people, who called to my father, chose a different path. I was sent to answer their call. The apish form of man is no fitting tribute for the blood of Dagon. I allowed our bloodlines to mingle-and they became better. More suited to the immortal lives that await beneath the waves. The Lemurians were sailors-star and sea were their guides.I gave them the freedom of the depths and they searched for answers in the stars. The stars spoke back. Gave them answers to their questions. Insights, innovations. Machines from the future. And a warning. The ritual required so much blood. Great creatures were captured, their lifeblood spilled..but the cage required fuel. And the creatures of the deep were not enough. Here, in the ancient scrolls rescued from Drowned Lemuria, they found their answer. A ritual to contain a god. A cage for their greatest ally. A caged, eternal protector. Me. The temple became glutted with slaves and degenerates-captured in surface raids upon the mainland. An endless supply of sacrifices to fuel my cage. But that is not dead which can eternal lie. I sent my will through time and space-to a place beyond the reach of ordinary mortals. A place between places. A land of Exiles. Today is the day that the prophecy comes to its inevitable conclusion. A Redeemer comes to destroy the aging remnants of a dying people. You come to free me, Redeemer. The Redeemer has come!
