| Video Discription | I love a traditional stove-top homemade hot chocolate but, for simplicity's sake, sometimes I depend on a mix. The affordable mixes aren't very satisfying and the satisfying mixes are out of my budget. This recipe is both satisfying and affordable. Hot Cocoa Mix (Makes 5 1/2 cups) 2 cups powdered sugar 1 cup cocoa (dutch-processed if you can) 2 1/2 cups powdered milk (we like the Nido brand in the Hispanic food aisle) 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons cornstarch Add 3-5 tablespoons of your mix to your mug. Top your mug with hot water and mix well. (We like to add about a 1/2 ounce of half-and-half or heavy whipping cream for extra creaminess.)
