| Video Discription | Some interesting minerals samples sometimes can be found during roads works construction...in Santa Catarina State (Southern Brazil) there is a large Basalt spill ("Formação Serra Geral") formed almost entirely by volcanic rocks like Basalt and Andesitic basalt, with tipical cavities (vesicles and tonsils), where associated minerals such as quartz, calcite and zeolites are usually found. Agates, Amethyst and other Quartz crystals are also usual. This video shows one of our "tours" in excavations.
