| Video Discription | One of the two movies released in 2017, with the other one being Turbo-Warriors. I accidentally stumbled upon HD versions of these movies a few days ago and decided to upload them here. They originally came from a streaming website (and surprise, most of the animated movies are now available on streaming services such as Amazon Prime) and it was kind of a pain in the ass to get the files. The file I got couldn't be read by the editing software so I had to convert it to other format, then the audio was in the same situation ... But in the end it's here. YouTube might have fucked a bit with the quality so I will soon upload these to Google Drive and share them so people can download them. Now you can behold Turbo-Charged's animation of questionable quality in all of its glory. Looking back in my comments, I feel that I was a bit too harsh with it - after rewatching it these days I realize that it is not as bad as it seems to be. In fact, I think that the movie did a surprisingly good job in introducing the concept of the green energy in just 44 minutes. The green energy is a concept that is honestly pretty hard to work with - it ignores everything that Max and Steel have learned throughout the past three (or four?) seasons. It's clear that the producers wanted to focus their efforts on other ideas but they were mandated to introduce this concept thanks to Mattel - in effors to appeal to a larger demographic and of course, to sell toys. Nearly every character, mode or vehicle has an action figure made and it has impacted the quality of the project a lot; it seems like they had a checklist of the toys they should include. And in all honesty, I always thought that Max Steel was a franchise that did an exceptional job at doing this - mixing toys with a good story. I'm still in awe with the quality of the first two seasons - I find amazing how they made such a cool backstory and buildup for the Ultralinks and Steel, with the former being simply a cool accessory on the toy line and on the series he has this cool backstory of memory loss and how he fought alongside with Max's father to protect alien worlds. I really admire their work of the first three seasons, heck even Team Turbo and Fusion Tek are fun to watch if you turn off your brain for a bit. Turbo-Charged's animation is janky and its clear that they rushed it to release it as soon as possible. But it gets (a little) better on the next film. [uSniBIJUuxs] |
