| Video Discription | Norway's biggest day is of course its National Day, also known as Constitution Day. It is celebrated on 17 May. And this is quite a party! What makes Norway's 17th of May special is its very non-military nature. Norway's national day is the day known for its children's parades, ice cream, and marching bands. This is also the day when you see a lot of Norwegians wearing their "bunads" - traditional Norwegian costumes. In Norwegian this day is called: Syttende Mai, Nasjonaldagen or Grunnlovsdagen. And the best way to congratulate each other is to say "Gratulerer med dagen!". In this episode of "How To Norway" Dag and Katarina meet for the traditional 17th of May breakfast before they go towards the Royal Palace in Oslo to see the biggest children's parade in Norway. And the special part of the day for Dag is of course the moment when he is going to sing Norway's National anthem "Ja, vi elsker!" with Birkelunden Mannskor - one of the coolest choirs in Oslo.
