These were also one of my all-time favorite cookies growing up. Now I am now happy to pass along this recipe to everyone. Thanks Again for watching and please sub and like. Ingredients: 6 egg whites (room temperature) 4 ounce semi-sweet chocolate finely chopped (110 g) ½ tsp cream of tartar ¼ tsp salt 1 1/3 cup granulated sugar Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside. 2. Next melt the chocolate so it can cool down before folding into the batter. Melt in microwave on 20 second increments until the chocolate is fully melted. Stir each time you place it back in the microwave. Set aside when done. 3. In a separate metal or glass bowl add egg whites, creme of tartar, and salt. Using a handheld mixer or stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment beat the egg white mixture on high speed until soft peaks form (roughly 2 minutes). Then with the mixer still on high speed, slowly add sugar and beat until soft glossy peaks form (roughly 2 more minutes). DON’T OVER MIX. 4. Gently fold in the melted cool down chocolate. To keep a swirl like design don’t completely mix. 5. Add the Meringue mix to a pipping bag fitted with an open star attachment tip. 6. Pipe onto prepared pan about 1.5-to 2 inch diameter. 7. Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes. At this time DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN AT ALL. Once the time is complete turn off oven and let the cookies sit for another 30 minutes. Again, DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN. 8. Remove from oven and cool completely on baking sheets.9. Cover and store Meringue cookies at rooms temperature. Last for about 2 weeks. ENJOY. Music Provided by: Canva Pro [BtOZ2BHV1KQ] |
