| Video Discription | This video is of the Planes of Fame Museum's (Chino, California) own Mig-15 fighter. This Korean War era Mig-15 was actually manufactured in the Soviet Union, unlike the Chinese models which are the most common of the few Mig-15s that fly today in civilian hands. The pilot is Chris Fahey. According to Chris, the maintenance on this aircraft is very simple and, considering the limited hours that this aircraft logs each year, consists mainly of only topping off the engine lubricating oil a couple of times a year. However, the fuel consumption is just enormous which makes this aircraft not a cheap one to fly! This aircraft is flown several times a year, including the annual Planes of Fame Airshow at Chino in May. Chris in the Mig-15 and Steve Hinton in the museum's F-86F Sabre always put on a great air-to-air combat demonstration with those two great former Korean War adversaries ! [Dkf2jzwbNSc] |
