| Video Discription | Vallakadavu: The shutters of Mullaperiyar were opened following increase in water level. 11 shutters were opened by one ft. The water level in the dam had crossed 140 ft. Tamil Nadu authorities had opened the dam shutters at 2:30 am on Wednesday releasing 4490 cubic feet of water in a second through the spillway. Even though the dam shutters are opened, the water level in Mullaperiyar is still increasing. Alert had been issued to the people before. Electricity Minister MM Mani had informed the public to cooperate with the measures taken and also asked them not to get panic.
