Subashchandra Padival played as Koti and Vaman Raj as Chennaya and Anand Ganiga The movie Koti Chennaya has to its credit some of the famous songs like ‘Ekka Sakka’ song written by Prof B A Vivek Rai, ‘Jodu Nanda Deepa Belag-ndu Tuluva Nad-da Gundodu’ Sung by P;.B Srinivas and written by Amrut Someshwar, ‘Kemmaleta Brahma’, ‘Mokulu Veerer, Mokulu Shoorer’ Film dialogs are very famous and “Satyad batthinakleg thigaled saadi korpa, anyayad batthinakleg sooryad saadi korpa” (We will show the way for the honest and we will show knife to unjust) is immortal. The shooting of the film was taken in Baraadi Boodu (Karkala), Padubidri, Moodbidri the 1,000-pillar basadi and the climax of the film where Koti and Chennayya die in combat at Bailoor (near Karkala). The film ran for 150 days in Jyothi theatre in Mangalore and 125 days in Alankar theatre in Udupi.
