When it comes to purchasing a new building for most people the first idea that comes into their minds are things like new furniture, better equipment and a nicer venue. However, our dream for this new church building goes beyond that. Here are a few advantages for the members of Hope Perth, and the wider community. - Equip us to influence the community in a much greater way with the possibilities of using the building as our base for helping the poor, and for community related events, running classes, music lessons and language courses that could help bring people together and empower the community. - Be able to hold student and youth events in the building. This would save a lot of time on trying to obtain funds to pay rent for a venue, and it could also be used as a venue for hanging out, studying, mentoring, jamming, etc. - It could be used for wedding ceremonies, thus allowing couples to save a lot of money on a venue. - We have outgrown our current rented venue in Victoria Park, so the new building will allow us greater room for growth. Other benefits: - New building is easily accessible from all directions (Great Eastern Highway, Orrong Road, Abernathy road), whereas our current rented venue is hard to find and noisy. - No more need for the time consuming transportation of all of our equipment.
