First & foremost:
Sometimes I wonder how I find the time to do the things that I do. And then I realized it's pretty simple. It's easy to make time for things I love and enjoy doing. Craziness has been taking over in the form of work and grad school but every so often, my "Tuesday night therapy" (aka Movement Project) comes to the rescue. This is my 2nd video project I've produced and directed, the last one was made exactly a year ago. Considering the time in between each video, I simply do not have the luxury to be doing this all the time as much as I would want to, so when I do, it's a very special occasion to me. I am proud to have pulled the majority of these ladies out of "performance retirement" - a majority of whom have moved forward with successful lives, engagements, marriages, accomplishments, careers, and even establishing families with kids of their own. This process brought back a lot of college memories and dance nostalgia, which makes this project even more special to me and my cast - it was a wonderful reunion for many of us. These women (with representation from SF, LA, & SD) are personal inspirations of mine and I cannot stress how AMAZING they are on AND off the dance floor. A plethora of thanks to my entire NGMA2 cast, choreographers, and crew for helping me bring my latest vision to life. I am blessed and honored to know such a diverse amount of talent that keeps me energized, motivated, passionate, and inspired to keep moving. This video does not have a special theme nor storyline, but each project that I have created is personal to me because it is inspired from a piece of my life. This one in particular, is inspired from my upbeat, vibrant, colorful, and adventurous 2012 and am personally dedicating this to all those I love who were a part of it. Simply said, I had a fun year, and this entire video and process is a subtle interpretation of that. Don't expect anything too complex - this is just dance and we're here to let you know how fun it can still be. Enjoy folks.
With love, respect, and movement,
