The Octomore Epione was matured in a mixture of Vin Doux Naturel and Chateaux Yquem casks. Careful! These are my notes. A true Peat friend will taste something completely different. The nose: A very strong peat smoke note. Some sweets with wine and a oakiness. Quite complex. A quite smelly note. The taste: very smoky, with a lot of spiciness, a alcoholic note.
