In this tutorial, I use the alla prima (wet on wet) and blending techniques. I start by blocking in the main shapes, forms and colours of the sky and distant ocean, then detailing the ripples and working on the wave. Learn how to mix sunset colours and layer paint to achieve a golden hour effect.
