Sometimes, a human being is in a mode of goodness, sometimes in the mode of passion and sometimes in the mode of ignorance. Sometimes, he is like a God, sometimes like a human and sometimes like a demon. How do we know a person is in what mode of nature? I can answer this but more important than this is to know and understand that how a person can stay in the mode of goodness all the time. Almost every karma of a demon is towards destruction. Even if there is any benefit of his action for him, it will be harmful to somebody else. When a person is in the mode of ignorance, not only he thinks about his own benefit only, he is also ready to harm the other person for his benefit. This is the basic identity of a demon. To pursue his interest and likings, he is ready to harm anyone for his own interests. He is then even ready to become bhasmasura, that I am ready to destroy the one who I worship.
