| Video Discription | A video on how to cook bread in a camp oven over an open fire. Our rough Rewena bread recipe, again we aren't experts at making bread so by all means use a better recipe! First you need a bug or starter, if you don't have one you can either use a bit of a friends one or make your own by making a paste with flour and water in a jar and adding a spoon more of both each day and gently mix(store at room temp). after a couple weeks you should have a good bubbly active bug of wild yeast. To Make dough; put your hole bug in a bowl with a peeled potato, add about 4 cups of flour and enough warm water to make the consistency of a thick paste. cover and leave for about 4 hours or over night. Next put a cup or 2 of mixture back into your bug jar (and peeled potato) and put jar in the fridge for next time. Add 3 - 6 cups of flour to remaining mixture depending how big you want your loaf. add warm water if needed and kneed into a flexible dough. place dough in greased camp oven and rest in a warm place for about 4 hours.
