The box handles high signal levels without distortion, and eliminates ground loops because of its passive nature. There are a series of switches that make the JDI useful in different audio situations, including a 15 dB PAD switch for interfacing with High output levels, and Merge switch so you can use the JDI to sum stereo inputs to Mono. There’s also a ground button to eliminate the ground path, a speaker option that introduces a -30dB pad to emulate a guitar speaker and a Reverse Polarity switch.
