Through the first three rounds of the playoffs, Gasol posted 18.2p and 11.3r on 57% in 18 games. The Finals presented Pau with perhaps his toughest matchup of the postseason in Dwight Howard. Along with 7’0 Andrew Bynum, the Lakers’ bigs were able to hold Dwight to only a shade over 15 ppg, down significantly from his 20.6p season and 21.7p EC Playoffs averages. Pau provided his squad 18.6 ppg in the 5 game series win over Orlando, able to avenge his mediocre and deemed “soft” performance against the Celtics a year prior.
