At 11:00 a.m. each day, they descend from their rooftop penthouse (a relatively recent $200,000 addition to this historic landmark hotel) via the center elevator and march through the lobby into the fountain. They spend six hours each day in the fountain in the center of the hotel lobby before ceremoniously returning to their rooftop quarters at 5:00 p.m. each day.
