| Video Discription | As the interior designs were not yet complete, Squint/Opera was given the task of designing the spaces for this mall inspired by shopping trips taken by Qataris to some of Europe's most beautiful city quarters. The project is named after Place Vendome but the inspirations come from the Champs Elysees, the Palace of Versaille, Rome, London, Vienna and beyond. All of these influences were brought together into a new style that could be described as posh, eclectic, European neo-classical retail architecture for the middle eastern market. To provide a showcase for this mixed-use scheme we created a marketing suite, film and more than a dozen computer-generated stills to show how it will look when completed in 2017. [Toe9m9ciwNc] |
