On pregnancy it helps to resist the urge to slump in the sofa which is particularly essential to help get baby in a good position. If you use it instead of or as well as a chair it helps to distribute your weight more evenly relieving spinal pressure and easing back pain. During labour you can use it n lots of ways to help labour progress more effectively! Sittin on it, wide legged helps to increase blood flow to the uterus as well as the placenta and baby. You can gently rock side to side, forward and back and do small circles...all of this will help as baby makes the twists and turns they need to during labour. You can lean over it in All 4's which helps to take some of the pressure off of the lower back. Your partner can massage your lower back. Your partner can sit on the ball and you can lean over them.
