| Video Discription | The stomach and the spleen are paired organs that are believed to help guide us through change and transition with grace and ease when in balance. The spleen's job is to control the quality of the red blood cells and to fight off infection. It is a key player in the function of the immune system. The spleen itself, is said to be the home of our empathy and our worry. This organ is located under the rubs on the left side of the body towards your back. The stomach is the place where what we consume is broken down and digested. When we eat a natural diet that is healthy and wholesome, we assist with the process of transforming food into nutrients and energy. If we are prone to eating junk food, we will eventually feel lethargic and lose our capacity for vitality. I'm certain we can all relate to feeling sick in the guts when something unsavoury or challenging has happened within our lives. The spleen also circulate's Qi or life force by taking what we ingest and ensuring it is distributed throughout the body via our blood. You can see how the stomach and spleen are thus very interconnected. The spleen can be the container for unfinished business, regrets and worries. When this organ is overloaded by these emotions, it becomes stagnant, unable to circulate our energy. It can feel impossible to progress in any way when we are sinking under the weight of our concerns - be they past, present or future. This is not an easy time on our planet. Many of us are facing significant challenges. Most people I speak with are worried about finances, their health, their loved ones, the earth herself. The following Qigong routine will help to bring you back into balance. The stomach and spleen are both related to the element of earth. Consider how our planet provides every aspect of our nourishment, protection and life force. Without it, we can not exist. We can come back to our own middle earth, consciously attuning to inner balance and centring our energy. When we are sturdy and stable, it is much easier to handle the changing rhythms of life.
