The first two episodes debuted together and this video discusses both episode 1 “The Collective” and episode 2 “Seven”. This almost felt like a new story in the same world, rather than the continuation of where things were left at the end of season 1. Conditions are much different in the Tropical Zone and there’s a slew of new characters we are introduced to. There are hints of the unresolved mysteries floating around, but the recap focuses more on what’s new for season 2 since there’s a lot to keep track of. In the end, there's a review with thoughts about the new season and where I think things are heading. Things are much different now that Mother and Father have been invited into the collective. It's clear that Mother is comforted by the fact that the AI that's guiding the atheists was developed by her creator Campion Sturges. It's also clear that most of the members don't want them there. 201 – The Collective As they join the atheist collective, Mother, Father and the children are met with threats and intimidation while they struggle to assimilate. Meanwhile, Marcus has found the ruins of an ancient church and begins recruiting members to fill its walls. 202 – Seven After Campion is hurt during his first encounter with the serpent, Mother must reconcile her feelings for her natural child as the collective is ordered by the Trust to hunt it down. Marcus comes to believe the serpent will help him find the Tree of Knowledge and sets off to find it before the atheists do.
