Mainly to spread awareness of these great films and hopefully inspire more people to seek them out. Director - John Byrum Synopsis - Larry Darrell goes on a journey for meaning after being exposed to the horrors of World War I, traveling to Paris and then to the Himalayas as he seeks inner peace. I think it’s safe to say that audiences in 1984 weren’t ready for a serious movie starring Bill Murray, and today it’s still mostly forgotten, despite Murray successfully reinventing himself “post-Lost in Translation” (or "post-Rushmore," if you're one to argue). The film is quite divisive, surely in no small part to Murray’s deadpan humor which can feel oddly out of place in a film like this. Though I think it actually gives the movie a lot of charm and makes it pretty unique, despite some flaws. --DM What do you think - was Murray ahead of his time or was this just an ill-conceived blunder?
