Hong Kong Cinema Appreciation Society

Hong Kong Cinema Appreciation Society began as an&nbsp;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/hkcinemaappreciationsociety/">Instagram account</a>, expanded to a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeB7yNhIaj2ucl0fbbbef2g?view_as=subscriber">YouTube channel</a>, and is in the process of expanding to become a film preservation organization. <br><br>We are currently working on compiling all the film prints we can access through private collectors we know or can connect with, and having conversations with filmmakers and others in the industry in Hong Kong. <br><br>Our aim is to pay for scans of privately owned film prints, store those, remaster and restore them digitally, then create new prints, which we will amass into a library. At the same time, we intend to collect ephemera (posters, lobby cards, magazines, etc) to store, with the end goal of creating a library and museum of Hong Kong Cinema films and artefacts. All the money earned from this Patreon will go toward these efforts.&nbsp;
