Commissioned by French energy specialists Schneider Electric, lead sponsor of the race, we installed 176 energy-harvesting tiles, including a 25 square metre span at the climax of the race on the Champs Elysée. Spectators also got in the action, watching the race from special Pavegen-powered viewing platforms and at branded Energy Pods situated in the Runners Expo. Schneider Electric aim to make the event carbon positive during their four-year sponsorship.
