I was living in my own maze where there wasn’t an exit. LR is someone begging to be appreciated in a very lunatic point in life, where she’s simply gone mad. The lyrics are written in a cynical but desperate way, ‘I belong in a museum’ to me it feels like a scream for help after trying absolutely everything. I didn’t want to add a hopeful outcome in the lyrics, in fact I wanted them to sound like a mad woman repeating she belongs in a museum demanding to be seen. I wanted to live in the madness for the track. I really wanted to feel and accept that reality about me now as an adult, since I realized trauma will never leave, you just learn to dance with it, which is what I do with my dark parts to be honest, I lure and invite them to dinner instead of trying to kill them.
