As the camera faces the diamond the line going from bottom right to top left is UP's Geneva Subdivision, the former Chicago & North Western (C&NW) from Chicago towards Clinton, IA, and onwards to Omaha. The UP Global III yard is about 1 mile beyond the diamond. The line going from bottom left to top right is BNSF's Aurora Subdivision, the former Chicago, Burlington & Quincy (CB&Q), from Aurora towards Savannah, IL, and onwards to the Twin Cities. The double main line, four track, diamond, known as NX Crossing, is at milepost 83.7 on the BNSF, and at 75.3 on the UP. There’s no schedule for freight trains, but some of our more knowledgeable members will provide real-time information when it’s available. Please refrain from asking.
