| Video Discription | Rosh HaShanah is a Hebrew phrase that literally means: "Head of the Year" - it's commonly celebrated by sending Jewish New Years cards to friends. But, is it New Years or 7th month, or both? While we posted a Rosh HaShanah video last year that's been seen many times, this video actually precedes it and explains the calendar question. This video is part 1 of that subject about the 'Feast of Trumpets' as seen in Leviticus 23. - More and more Christians are recognizing the Jewish roots of their faith in Messiah Jesus, and understand that God has a continuing relationship with the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is gratifying for those of us who are actually Jewish and have come to faith in Messiah. Jewish history is important for every Christian because it demonstrates the faithfulness of God to his Covenant agreements with the people of Israel. Mottel Baleston was born into a Jewish home in New York City and attended Jewish and public schools there. He came to faith in Messiah Jesus after reading the Messianic prophecies in the Jewish Bible. He is Director of the "MESSENGERS OF THE NEW COVENANT", communicating the Good News of Messiah to the Jewish community, discipling Jewish believers and educating Christians concerning the Jewish roots of their faith. He has served as Messianic Rabbi of a Congregation in New Jersey, as well as a Hebrew class instructor. His articles appear in Ariel Magazine, and his teaching videos on several online venues.
