| Video Discription | AMD’ their CPU lineup is already pretty impressive ranging from the 6 core 12 thread 3600 which comes highly recommended as the best budget CPU all way up to the 16 core 32 thread 3950X coming up in September. But we’ve been waiting for something even cheaper, A few days back we saw the Ryzen 5 3500. It was leaked by AMD through an EEC Filing along with other Ryzen pro processors and a Ryzen 9 3900 non-X. Well now, thanks to Tum Apisak, it looks like AMD is going for a 6 core option without SMT, so 6 cores and 6 threads. This new chip would compete directly with intel’s 6 core 6 thread lineup like the i5 9400,9500 and 9600. In terms of value though, if its priced right, it could be the king. The 3500 Would be clocked at 3.6Ghz base with a boost of 4.1. Those are the same boost clocks as the locked i5 9400. But is still under both the 9500 at 4.4ghz and the 9600k at 4.6. Now If we take into consideration the IPC improvement in Zen 2, it would likely beat both. The Ryzen part also comes with a Massive 32MB of cache and an extra 4 lanes of PCIe 4.0. Then comes the pricing. As is, the core I5 lineup ranges from 150US for the 9400f to around 240 dollars for the 9600k. If you’re in the 200$ market, the 3600 would be the better-balanced CPU with great performance in gaming but even better at productivity. For anything lower than that, we only have intel products right now. If AMD can place the 3500 at 150$, it would definitely be the king of the segment. Now we know that the Zen+ based 3400G is already at 150 and its a quad-core.
