Vor Testbeginn wurde der Schuh 24 Stunden im Klimaschrank auf Zimmertemperatur (20 Grad Celsius) konditioniert und an Ferse und Ballen geeichte Temperaturfühler angebracht. Der Test fand im Prüfstellenlabor der AUVA in Wien statt. Wir wollten testen, wie sich die Temperatur im Schuhinnenraum unter folgenden Bedingungen entwickelt: Standzeit von 1 Std. auf 140 Grad Celsius heißer Oberfläche, bei 23 Grad Celsius Raumtemperatur und 50 % Luftfeuchtigkeit (Die Temperatur der heißen Platte musste auf 150 Grad Celsius gestellt werden, da 10 Grad Temperaturverlust auftreten). Der Testschuh wurde mit 4 kg Stahlkugeln gefüllt, die ebenfalls auf 20 Grad Celsius konditioniert wurden, um praxisnahe den Träger zu simulieren.
