If it’s warm out and you move a lot, they can work their way out of sweaty ears. The fins can prevent this quite well COMFORT TEST I wore this on a 6 hour flight and slept for about three hours with these in the whole time. They successfully blocked out a crying baby on a redeye flight ANC Adaptive ANC ANC test Very subtle white noise Always adaptive – I wish I could just max it out and have total silence where I cannot hear my keys typing TRANSPARENCY Transparency test SOUND Adjust sound via personalized profiles, 5 band EQ, sound zones, sound check, or pre configured Snapdragon Sound and the S5 Sound Gen 2 platform. AptX lossless codec delivers lossless audio with low latency These support up to 24 bit 96kHz audio - I got the lossless audio firmware update already Claimed latency of less than 20ms MICROPHONE TEST FEATURES Auracast (available via firmware update) LE Audio Bluetooth 5.4 Multipoint connectivity = YES Auto play/pause = YES Battery protection mode for a longer lifespan App tour - the app was actually nicely redesigned Controls are FULLY customizable CONS They are still a bit large. The redesign last year was great, but there are smaller options out there Not ideal for running or working out - the sport ones would be better for that Auracast is not available yet $50 more than previous gen, but the same as gen 1 and gen 2. Actually if you account for inflation, gen 1 would be $367 in today’s dollars PRICE: $299 CONCLUSION: These are genuinely futureproof. If you buy these, you might not need a new pair for quite a few years. This is a common tech theme now Pretty much everything on my checklist for earbuds exists here. Sennheiser, if you’re watching this, great job! The only things I would like to see next year would be better ANC and better earbud locating features - much like AirPods UWB finding abilities Although I still lost my airpods 3 and I have yet to ever lose sennheiser buds These are nearly perfect earbuds.
