In 2017, Massey University scientists Dr Adam Smith, PhD student Odette Howarth and Dr. Emma Betty captured this amazing footage of a 4-metre-long male white shark in Rangitāhua (Kermadec Islands). It was filmed using a Baited Remote Underwater Video set used to survey marine life. This footage contributes to the Global FinPrint project, which is undertaking a large number surveys using the same technology.
