We start with planting, growing, getting rid of aphids naturally using diatomaceous earth, harvesting, pressing, and finally cooking the juice down to a fine syrup. For our sorghum press, we use a GrainMaker sorghum press that has been automated. This press is the perfect size for a homestead. Making syrup is not easy but it is rewarding.
