Gina Cerimele describes the range of traits in Colorado State University’s sorghum plots and their significance. The Sorghum Conversion Program successfully adapted tropical sorghum to be able to flower in temperate climates, which has enabled exciting ongoing research to improve drought tolerance and disease resistance in temperate sorghum. Genebanking efforts to maintain sorghum collections have been essential to the crop's success. This video was produced by Colorado State University’s Center for Science Communication, in conjunction with Colorado State University’s Department of Soil and Crop Sciences and the United States Department of Agriculture.
