On fourth and goal, a Southern Illinois dove for the end zone, but the ball was knocked out before he reached the goal line. It was scooped up by a South Dakota State player and returned 97 yards for a touchdown to give the Jackrabbits a 26-14 lead. The best part of the play however, might have been the radio call from SDSU announcer Tyler Merriam, who gave as much enthusiasm as you will ever hear from an announcer. Southern Illinois went on to upset South Dakota State, winning the game 42-41 in overtime.
