I may have forgotten to mention in this video; however, I did state on my Instagram feed that 90% of the wood I used here was recycled from a previous project where I made tents for my son's birthday. So the small holes you may see in the wood were from the dowels used to put the tents together. I could have sealed the holes, but I guess you can just chalk it up to me being a tad bit in a rush to complete the bench. It also doesn't bother me much that the holes are there. Keep in mind the materials I listed will make a 48" long bench. If you want it longer, the cost will increase by however many slates needed (I used 15 slates to be exact). You can also use different legs that are less challenging to cut. Simple box legs will also make for a beautifully modern bench as-well.
