You should not use idioms in Writing Task 2. ❓ Is it possible for me to score a Band 8? 📚 Yes! However, the average IELTS score is 5.5, so you need to work EXTRA hard to get a Band 8. ❓ How many paragraphs should I write? 📚 Four. Most IELTS Writing Task 2 essays follow the same basic four paragraph structure: Introduction - Main Body Paragraph 1 - Main Body Paragraph 2 - Conclusion ❓ Will I lose marks if I don’t write enough words? 📚 Yes.
