I know a lot of folks have brand preferences and that Taurus hasn't always had the most stellar reputation.. and that a guy that carries SIG P938/1911/whatever might roll his eyes at this little Taurus, but I'm telling ya.. it's a sweet little gun! I think the folks at Taurus have hit a home run. Best in class ergos, super easy to break down, a surprisingly great trigger, and it's under $250. No-brainer. Plus, it was designed and is manufactured in the U.S.A. Through 100 rounds, I didn't have one hiccup. No FTFs, FTEs.. nada. Just flawless performance. Plus, it was a joy to shoot (unlike MOST pocket guns) and accurate! Kudos, Taurus! Addendum: I've gotten a number of comments about setting up the targets where I did (no backstop/shooting into vegetation) and I completely agree with them. Even though there was nothing but desert beyond the tree, it was stupid of me to hastily set up the targets where I did. I should have thought that out better. Lesson learned. Addendum 2: Trigger pull is listed at 7 to 9 lbs by Taurus. It's definitely long and kinda heavy, but it's smooth and predictable (I have the gun lubed with Slip 2000). I figure for a "get off me" gun with no safety, the trigger pull is just about right. That said, it does feel a bit cheap.. though I'm not sure it'd be worth upgrading to a metal trigger on a $250 gun.
