His caricatures evoked a large range of sentiments from pain and suffering, to pride and elation. I personally grew up with is works. Taking in the aesthetically simple imagery yet complex messages and inferences. He was subtle when he wanted to be and he was in your face when it served the purpose of the narrative being told. Naji was also an impersonation of the galant and noble human being. His was the fabric of honorable knights and kings who fought evil with the power of their swords, in his case, his pen. Naji Al Ali lives amongst us to this day, lives in our collective memory and lives in the struggle to fight for a lost home and nation.
