Name of the game: Circumlocution Tic-Tac-Toe From the book "Creative Output" by Hall Houston Materials: Blackboard/Whiteboard Ideal class size: - 6-20 Students (adjust accordingly) Instructions: Write down nine words that are appropriate for your class level on the board in a tic-tac-toe structure on the board, one per box. The idea is to have your kids describe each of these words in as much detail as possible. Once they've described three words that can be crossed out to complete tic-tac-toe, that team wins! Play as many rounds as you see fit. Try to elicit more details from your students the way Dustin does with his "student" in this example!
