| Video Discription | Dr. Tommy Chang is the superintendent of the Boston Public Schools. In this role, he leads more than 56,000 students in 125 schools and serves as a cabinet member to Mayor Martin J. Walsh. Previously, Dr. Chang served as the Local Instructional Superintendent, Intensive Support & Innovation Center (ISIC) at the Los Angeles Unified School District where he oversaw 135 schools and approximately 95,000 students. Dr. Chang is a former teacher and principal. He holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Loyola Marymount University, a M.Ed. from the Principals Leadership Institute at UCLA, a M.Ed. from the Teachers Education Program at UCLA, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
