Love it! Alright, so just in time for the January 7 winter season premiere of Pretty Little Liars, the star chatted all things Troian. She said that she feels most beautiful when she's being natural, like when she goes to the beach and her hair is just a crazy mess of salt curls. Since this is very different from her "perfect" Spencer character, it's nice to her Troian address the fan sentiment that she's perfect, something that she says she goes through two hours of hair and makeup to become the PLLer, adding that no one should hold themselves up to that. We want to give major props to Troian for being so open with her fans about the issues that she had as a teenager, and obviously she shared this with Seventeen magazine to help out teens who might be in a similar situation. She said QUOTE 'I started self-harming when I was a junior. I would withhold food or withhold going out with my friends, based on how well I did that day in school. I didn't know what was right and what was wrong, so I think I created this bizarre system of checks and balances to create order in my world. But it really backfired.' And since this all hit the news, Troian has received an outpouring of love in support... including from her fellow PLL stars, like Ashley Benson who said that Troian inspires her, Shay Mitchell also called her brave, intelligent and talented, and finally, Lucy Hale tweeted out that she's proud of Troian for speaking up and that everyone needs to read the article.
