A powerful pop track that implores hope and support for the province of KwaZulu-Natal as the region struggles with collapsing infrastructure, unemployment, crime, substance abuse, gender-based violence, the effects of Covid, and devastating floods. Written by Andrew Sutton 'Woza Join Us' features a star studded cast of South African musicians including Andrew Sutton, Thee Legacy , Kyle Deutsch , Sandy B , Skye Wanda , Lasandra , Gadasi and the youth from the community of Bhambayi, in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The Bhambayi Project, a registered NPO and section 18A company, has been journeying with the Bhambayi community since 2007 with an ongoing goal to ignite tangible hope across South Africa through re-storying lives, building bridges and challenging mindsets. There could never be enough orphanages or foster homes for the over 3 million orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa. As an alternative, The Bhambayi Project's model supports these children through relationships and empowerment within their own communities. This support extends to their guardians and continues once these children leave school often facing greater challenges. The Bhambayi Project's goal, is to break these negative cycles by restoring tangible hope, and empowering the most vulnerable in order to change their trajectories. Bhambayi, Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) is one of the most disadvantaged and shunned communities in South Africa. The Bhambayi Project believes that transformation in this community will create a contagious beacon of hope. This vision includes enabling the ‘powerless’ Bhambayi community to positively impact the ‘powerful’ across South Africa with hope - ultimately building up individuals, communities, and the future of our country. Through this approach, the foundation aims to change narratives across South Africa. The Bhambayi Project believes that true transformation is realised when lives are propelled out of poverty through relationships and empowerment, rather than made more comfortable in poverty through handouts. The Bhambayi Project measures success by lives fundamentally changed - an important measure, although not an easy one.
