| Video Discription | This is the most common mistake I see when teaching beginner artists how to blend colored pencils together for smooth gradients. In most of my videos, I talk about the importance of color choices, layering, and keeping a sharp point- but I didn’t realize so many people were missing this very important step!! OVERLAP YOUR COLORS. The difference in the video is subtle, because I’m using Prismacolor Premier pencils and they tend to be more forgiving with bad techniques. But using the proper overlapping and layering technique will allow you to create much smoother blends, no matter what pencils you are using.
