Before we begin, make sure you hit subscribe and tap the bell icon to get daily tech videos. There is a third-party macro for MS Word that you can use to add AI based text completion in MS Word. And here I will show you how to install it and use it to write articles and blogs using AI right inside Microsoft Word. Let’s get started. First, you need to open the GitHub repository of this macro using the link in description and download it from this source folder. Now, open MS Word. Open Options page and then go to Customize Ribbon Section. Enable the Developer tab from here. Close the Options window and then go back to Word and create a new document. From the Developer tab, click Visual Basic. If you see this Normal folder then click on it. And then use the import option from the File menu import the macros file that we downloaded earlier. Click Save and close the Visual Basic. Now, again open the Word Options window and again go to the Customize Ribbon section. Add a new tab and name it anything. Here I am giving the name AI Assistant. Create a new group inside this tab and then give it any name as well. Now, from the top dropdown, select macros. Select the one we imported earlier and click Add. The macro will be attached to the newly created group in the new tab. Now, one last thing you have to do is create an open AI API environment. Search environment in Start and then open Edit system environment variables. Create a new environment variable with the name Open AI API Key as shown here. Paste your API key and then save it. Now, open Word and create a new document. Type a topic and then select it. Click on the ChatGPT button that we created in the new tab and wait for a few seconds. It will now auto write the content for you. Similarly, write another topic and use the new Chat GPT button. And keep generating text and auto completing text in word this way. There you have it!
