| Video Discription | YEBO YES is a collaboration between South African and Swedish artists under the artistic lead of the non-profit performing arts organisation AFIA, and supported by| Konstnärsnämnden and Kulturrådet from Sweden. The first showing of the performance took place at The Centre for the Less Good Idea in December 2019 as part of the For Once programme. YEBO YES is a self-reflexive performance that focuses on the art of pantsula itself. With a common interest in the street dance genre, the South African and Swedish ensemble use the vehicle of performance to mine the myriad qualities of panstula as well as the contemporary choreography of street dancers and in nightclubs. Synchronisation, storytelling, character development and play are a few of the properties of the dance form explored through YEBO YES.
