| Video Discription | My first attempt at a mainly auditory YTP. Well, I'm free from university for a couple months. I've been looking forward to this for some time now, but of course, like every promise of happiness in my life, it's proving to be a little more emotionally complicated than anticipated. I'm split trying to decide whether to snag a job for the summer to earn more money for tuition, or take it easy for the few summer months that I have. If I get a job, I can guarantee you my mental health will go to shit. If I take the summer off, I'll spend it feeling like an unneeded pest to society. As you may have already guessed, this video was my annual attempt to prove my own worth to myself. You'd think that after years of having this stupid mindset I'd finally realize that I have value to bring to this world, but I still have trouble coming to terms with that. I sometimes wonder whether I'm destined to carry out the rest of my life without ever feeling a true sense of accomplishment or pride. Everything I've ever done that brings me happiness fades into the past so quickly, while ignorant conversations I've had with people or dumb mistakes I've made never seem to leave. I just wish, for however short a time, that I could definitively say I've done something worthwhile, something I can be proud of. Nothing ever seems to be good enough. I'm always five steps behind my friends. A world without observation bias would be lovely. Anyway, make of those paragraphs what you will. I assume you're not a therapist, so don't feel pressured to comment on them. This is just one of the few spaces in my life that I feel comfortable enough to write this stuff.
