In the first third, the pilot is slowing down to 30 mph indicated (not calibrated! - more like 50 mph acutal), the observer calls out "30" once the pilot (not audible) has told him. Then the speed remains at 30 indicated or below, with some wing rock at the edge of a stall, before the pilot recovers and adds power.
