Ram devotees coming to Ayodhya are also being appealed to avoid bathing in deep water. केंद्रीय जल आयोग के अनुसार सरयू का जलस्तर मौके पर 91.580 सेंटीमीटर चल रहा है जो चेतावनी बिंदु से 15 सेमी लगभग नीचे है. मानसून के साथ पहाड़ों पर हो रही बारिश के वजह से सरयु पर जलस्तर में 1 से 2 सेंटीमीटर प्रति दिन बढ़ रहा है. लेकिन अब स्थिति सामान्य है. बाढ़ को देखते हुए खतरे से बचने के सभी तरह के इंतजाम पहले से ही कर लिए गए हैं. गहरे पानी में जाने से श्रद्धालुओं को रोका जा रहा है.
